Jack Thomas Parish passed from this life on October 3, 2021, to be with his Lord. Jack was born on October 25, 1938, the child of Hazel Marie Parish and Thomas Leslie Parish. He was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his siblings, Mary Lou Gordon, Marilyn Hodgson, Kathleen Sipes, Susan Gartman and Theresa Petty. With five beautiful sisters, Jack took being the only brother with responsibility and love.
On April 12, 1957, Jack married Florence Louise Owenbey. They enjoyed their life together until April 25, 2016, when Florence went to be with her Lord. All because two people fell in love! Jack is survived by a loving family; son, Michael Parish and wife Deborah, of Locust Grove, son Patrick Parish and wife Sony of Tulsa, and daughter, Tammy Jordan and her husband Paul, of Hulbert, OK.
For several years, Jack worked for W.A. Chester, Inc., a company from Long Island, NY, that provided pipeline. After that, Jack worked doing road construction across Oklahoma. In his spare time, he loved family time, cook-outs, road trips, and all the fishing he could possibly get done. Jack was a man of honor and loyalty, which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. Things in his life were pretty cut and dry - there is a right and wrong. He raised his family to believe in the Lord. That was the little voice in your head and heart that guided us through life. Jack was a simple and loving man - a fair man. He loved his family and friends, always standing strong with an open heart and hand.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
