Jack C. Phillips was born December 12, 1922 in Orange, Texas and he departed this life on February 9, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 28 days.
Jack grew up in East Texas and worked for a Utility Construction Company in Beaumont until he retired. He and his wife Gloria moved to Tahlequah and made their home. He loved Tahlequah and all of its qualities. He was a fixer, he could fix anything that came up. He was an original "Do It Yourself" kind of guy. He enjoyed building things and woodworking. Jack was a hard worker, but he also enjoyed his recreation time. He loved taking his family on vacations. They took road trips to nearly every state. His favorite was Colorado and he loved taking trips and enjoying the Colorado beauty. Jack was a talker. He had many stories to tell, but they were mostly just because he had a lot of life experience. Jack was full of common sense and could do nearly anything that he set his mind to. He touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gloria Ruth Phillips and his sister. He is survived by his son Mike Phillips of Tahlequah. Several friends and other relatives also survive him.
