Mary Jacqueline "Jackie' Smith Alberty, 75, formely of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at her home in Tahlequah with family at her side. She was born in Stilwell, Ok to Jack and Louise Smith.
She grew up in Tahlequah where she graduated from Tahlequah High School and married the love of her life James Arthur Alberty of Westville, OK. Together they raised a family of 2 children in Lufkin, TX where Jackie later obtained her nursing d3egree from Angelina Junior College. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a registered Nurse touching many lives of both staff and patients at Woodland Heights Hospital and Texas Home Health. She loved to travel, listen to music and was an avid reader who enjoyed snuggling with her fur-babies as well as spoiling her grandchildren and her namesake great-granddaughter.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband James A. Alberty, parents Jack & Louise Smith, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Fama Tucker as well as her niece Brenda Gallbraith.
She is survived by her children Janna Jarrell and husband Mike of Lufkin, TX and James Alberty "JB" and wife Teri of Pueblo West, CO, her grandchildren Brian Jarrell of Abilene, TX and Jessica and Danielle Alberty, both of Pueblo West, CO; her great-granddaughter Jacequelynn "Jackie" Jarrell of Abilene, TX; sister-in-law Carolyn Morrison of Riverside, CA; nephew Bobby Tucker and wife Laurie of Tulsa, OK; niece Julie Face of Riverside, CA and her longtime companion Hugh White of Tahlequah, OK; as well as many other family members, friends, and loved ones.
