Jacqueline grew up in the Zion Community south of Stilwell around Starr Spring. Following her husband's career they moved to Nowata where she became the OSU extension service, Home Economist and 4-H agent. After Julie was born she became full time homemaker until Julie started school. She then began teaching Home Economics (Family Consumer Science) at NSU. While teaching at NSU she completed her Doctorate at the University of Arkansas. Her main desire in life was to be a positive influence on young lives. She retired after 30 years. After her retirement she continued to serve as an adjunct Professor for NSU and she was a substitute teacher for Shady Grove and Grandview Schools. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her flowers. She had a huge heart and was always there with food or whatever was needed for someone who was sick or in a family crisis. She volunteered with the Feed My Sheep Ministry as a cook and a table host. She was very talented as a pianist, and enjoyed playing at home and at church until her health wouldn't allow it. She taught most of her cousins and neighbor kids how to play the piano.
