James David Hamby was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 20th, 1964 to Arland Hamby and Patti Arcaro. He grew up in Welling, Oklahoma on the Rafter AH Ranch with his Dad and 3 brothers.
James went by many names. Jim, Jimmy, Dad, Uncle Jimmy, James, and Brother Jim.
Jimmy attended Cherokee Elementary, and Tahlequah high school. He later earned his Associates degree in Health Information Technology from National American University. On October 31, 1989 Jim married June Garner and together they had 2 daughters, Breanna Hamby in 1989, and Chrystal Hamby in 1990. His greatest love was his daughters and his family.
Jim spent the majority of his life working and spending time on the Ranch to ensure his Dad's vision came to fruition. He thoroughly loved living and spending his days caring for cattle and being a rancher. He loved to carry on a conversation with people and made many friends. Jim was a singer/songwriter and enjoyed playing and singing many songs, especially those he wrote. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. His smile and laugh were contagious.
On July 7th, 2021 the Lord called Jim home to be reunited with his father Arland Hamby. He is survived by his Daughters, Breanna Thompson and her husband Brett; and Chrystal Hamby and her fiance Wesley Lamons. His mother Patti Arcaro. Brothers John Hamby and wife Judy, Mike Hamby and wife Marie, Lance Hamby and wife Robin. Nephews Kevin Hamby, Ryan Hamby, Aaron Hamby, Alan Hamby, Hayden Hamby, and Trevor James. Nieces Alicia Ahrents, and Dakota Hennigh. He also leaves behind his 3 precious grandchildren Allie Nourozy, Brenden Holden, & Logan Thompson and his best friend Scott Bridges.
Jim will truly be missed by all!!!
