James Kaufman

June 3, 1938 — February 3, 2019

James Andrew Kaufman the son of Louis Sr. and Lillian (Thomas) Kaufman was born June 3, 1938 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 3, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years and 8 months.

James enjoyed life and loved his family. He enjoyed camping and hunting and he loved shooting guns. He was a master marksman. He served as High School Principal in Windsor, MO for 20 years before retiring and returning home to Tahlequah. He could do just about anything, one thing that he excelled at was working on cars. He built his very first car and was always a good mechanic. James touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Louis Kaufman Jr.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Kay Kaufman of the home; his daughter Lori Blankenship and husband David of Belton, MO; his sister Carolyn Rhodes and husband Jack of Choteau, OK; his sister-in-law Gail Kaufman of Owasso, OK; his grandsons Andrew Blankenship of Tahlequah, Michael Blankenship of Raymore, MO and Jacob Blankenship and wife Kaylin of Grandview, MO; his great grandson Keyan Blankenship of Tahlequah and his little yorkie Bella. Several friends and other relatives also survive him.
