Janice Thompson

Janice Lynn Thompson the daughter of William Richard and Joyce Lenadean (Hood) Whalen was born August 26, 1953 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 13, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years2 months and 16 days.

Janice enjoyed life. She loved her daughters and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed traveling with her girls and spending time at the lake and going to Vegas. She loved her granddaughter and enjoyed spending time with her. She enjoyed reading and was the best cook around. Janice touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father; and her brothers Daniel Joseph Whalen and Randall Dwayne Whalen.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Shannon Taylor and husband James of Jenks, OK, and Shelli Ridenour of Sapulpa; her granddaughter Bayli Ridenour of Sapulpa; her mother Joyce Lenadean Whalen of Corn, OK; brother Richard Whalen and wife Sally of Weatherford, OK; her aunt and uncle Latricia and Jim Hardesty of Pryor, OK; her nieces and nephews Karissa Whalen of Oklahoma City, OK, Matt Whalen of Miami, OK, and Laura Shepherd and husband Billy of Yukon, OK; and her great niece Libby Shepherd of Yukon, OK. Numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives also survive her.
