September 2, 1966 — January 20, 2024

On Saturday, January 20,2024 Jay Eric Cook of Hulbert, Oklahoma joined our Heavenly Father at the age of 57. He was born to J.E. Cook & Viola Cook on September 2, 1966, in Lafayette, Indiana. He attended Purdue University, as well as Northeastern State University, where he received his degree. He was especially proud to be a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He made lifelong friendships during his fraternity years and continued to keep in touch with his brothers and their families.

Jay enjoyed cooking, Steelers football, The Cubs, and a healthy game of poker. He enjoyed watching his children's lives blossom and was a wonderful father to them for many years; Their pastimes included horse playing and Jays outlandish story time telling. Jay has had many trades during his earthly life including sports commentor for the Tahlequah Tigers, Sunday school teacher (partnered with his Wife), and a Care assistant for those with special needs.

He is preceded by his Father, J.E. Cook of Oliver Springs, TN, special children, Patrick & Tommy Qualls of Tahlequah, Ok.

He is survived by his Wife, Tammy Cook of Hulbert, OK.

Daughter & Spouse, Jennifer Hawn/ Christopher Moore of Kingston, TN

Son & Spouse, Logan & Brianna Cook of Tahlequah, OK

Son, Maxx Cook of Tahlequah, OK

Mother, Viola Cook of Tahlequah, OK

Nephew Kyle McNatt & Family of Talihina, OK

Brother, Darren Cook of Tahlequah, OK

Grandchildren Cash, Rooney, Devin, Guinevere, & Penelope.

As well as many other loved family members and friends

While Jay will be missed by all his family and friends, we are grateful that he is at peace with our Heavenly Father.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date in 2024.
