Jerry Brown

Jerry Brown was born December 28, 1942 to John Henry Brown and Elna Gray Brazell Brown in Shelby, North Carolina. He went to his Heavenly Home July 24, 2018 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 75 years old.
Jerry attended Shelby High in Shelby, N.C. He served in the United State Army and The Armed Forces of the United States with an Honorable Discharge in 1962. He was an electrian for 40 years until retiring in 2015.
He married Wanda Lou Hogner on December 14, 1979 with 1 son Tommy Hays, 1 daughter Wanda Sue Hays; Grandchildren: Mallory Schurer, Cody Schurer, Clayton West, Rachel Hays and Elaine A. Hays.; 1 great-grandchild Joby Escalante.
Jerry enjoyed playing his steel guitar and also playing bass guitar at Elm Tree Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading about history, watching westerns and most of all he loved being with his grandchildren. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Elm Tree Baptist Church.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents John and ELna Brown, 1 Brother Gene Brown and 1 sister Joyce Brown.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Lou Brown; Brother Ronnie Brown and wife Juanita; Sister Ann Ercherd; Children Tommy Hays and Wanda Sue Hays; Grandchildren: Mallory Schurer, Cody Schurer, Clayton West, Rachel Hays and Elaine A. Hays; 1 great-grandchild Joby Escalante. Nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
