Jerry Simpson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Marr Simpson, born on July 14, 1942, in Yonkers, Oklahoma to the late James Gordon Simpson and Mabel Eunice (Wise) Simpson. Jerry peacefully departed from this world on July 23, 2024, at his residence in Tahlequah, Oklahoma

Jerry is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 64 years, Mary Simpson, daughters Rhonda (Chris) Sams and Tammy Simpson, along with 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Jerry also leaves behind his cherished four spoiled cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters, one grandson, and one great-grandson.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Tahlequah City Cemetery on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 am, where we will gather to honor and celebrate his life.

Public Viewing for friends and family will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 PM,at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Jerry was a patriotic individual with a passion for reading, particularly the Bible. He found joy in attending classic car shows, riding horses, and caring for them. Horse's were a therapeutic escape for him. Jerry had a particular fondness for cornbread and beans, but his sweet tooth was undeniable.

In his memory, please join us in respectful remembrance as we bid farewell to Jerry Simpson at his final resting place in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on July 29, 2024. May his legacy and spirit live on in our hearts forever.
