Jimmy Hayes

Jimmy Lee Hayes the son of Frank and Geneva (Moore) Hayes was born May 4, 1954, in Baird, Texas and departed this life on April 16, 2021, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 12 days.

Jimmy loved his wife and family dearly. He loved the Lord and was a minister for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was fishing, messing with his cattle, goats, bees and chickens, or just spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and Mash with his grandkids. Jimmy touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Linda Ruby Hayes; his son-in-law Terry Alan Garrett; his grandson Elijah Hayes; his sister Joyce Julian and his brothers-in-law Wilson Toney and Michael Eubanks.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Teresa Hayes of Tahlequah, Terri Lynn Garrett of Tahlequah, and Bobby Hayes of Tahlequah; his daugter-in-law Ashley Hayes of Tahlequah; his brothers Kenneth Hayes and wife Mary of Pryor, Richard Hayes and wife Cecilee of Broken Arrow, and Billy Hayes and wife Deborah of Tulsa; his sisters Pat Wilson and husband Claude of Tahlequah and Donna Toney of Oktaha; and his six grandchildren Nicholas Garrett, Haley Garrett, Raylee Garrett, Hunter Hayes, Elizabeth Hayes and Zachary Gilmore. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
