Jimmy Potts

Jimmy Wayne Potts the son of Jimmy Darrell Potts and Phyllis Faye Center was born November 17, 1981, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 18, 2020, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 38 years, 6 months and 1 day.

Jimmy enjoyed life and loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children. He liked to hang out at the creek and fish. He was very creative and enjoyed woodworking, wood burning and making rings. He was a teaser and would get after anyone, but he especially enjoyed teasing his niece. Listening to old music, Hank Jr. especially, dancing goofy and being with family and friends made the perfect life for Jimmy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy also enjoyed skateboarding, riding bikes, motor cycles, carnival rides and the zoo. He always knew how to get whatever he wanted from his mother. When he wanted something from her, he would put all his weight on top of her and dig his chin into her shoulder and tell her how much he loved her and how beautiful her hair is.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his mother Phyllis Center of Tahlequah; his father Jimmy Darrell Potts of Hulbert; his children Jesse Spears-Potts of Hulbert, Layna Potts of Hulbert, and Larana Potts of Hulbert; his sister April Potts of Tahlequah; and his niece Cherish Burris. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives also survive him.
