Joann Otten

JoAnn Otten passed away on Thursday October 18, 2018 in Tulsa OK at the age of 75. She was born March 4, 1943 in Tahlequah OK to Ross and Christine Robbins. JoAnn was the proud mother of 2 children, Scott Otten, and
Christi Anderson both from Tahlequah.

JoAnn graduated from Northeastern State College in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She was the first in her family to complete a college education and did so by earning a Cherokee female seminary scholarship.
She went on to pursue a career in NSU athletics as administrative assistant and retired after 30 years of service.

The only thing that could supersede her passion for sports was her love for her family. JoAnn has 2 children and 4 grandchildren that are her absolute pride and joy. She never hesitated to brag on them and talked about them to anyone
that would listen.

JoAnn loved to travel when she was physically well enough to do so. She loved the water in particular. Whether it was spending summers in a lawn chair at Elk Creek, poolside at a hotel in Branson Missouri, or lounging on the beaches
of Hawaii, she was fortunate enough to be able to make memories with her family on several such occasions which made her very happy.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents Ross and Christine Robbins, and her brother Richard.

She is survived by her son Scott Otten and his wife Christen; her daughter Christi Anderson and her grandchildren Hunter, Olivia, Kolbi, and Lily, as well as a host of other friends and relatives.
