Johnny Shepherd

Johnnie Allen Shepherd, 68, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed from this life Thursday February 9, 2017 with his family by his side. Johnnie was born May 8, 1948 in Liberal, Kansas to Noah and Elsie Shepherd. Johnnie graduated from Tahlequah High School. He married the love of his life Carolyn Sue Ryals on September 17, 1971 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart among other metals. He worked at Greenhaw Eddings Ford as a car salesman for 24 years where he made so many friends. Johnnie loved the outdoors and would hunt and fish with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Noah and Elsie Shepherd and 2 sisters Verda Ratliff and Brenda Stephens.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife Carol Shepherd of the home; his children Shelia Uehlin and husband Jimmy of Tahlequah and Shaun Shepherd and wife Becky of Tahlequah; 5 grandchildren Dakota, Dalton and Danielle Hiatt, Tate and Jax Shepherd; 2 great grandchildren Blakely and John B. Hiatt; his brothers Benny Stevenson and wife Betty of Tahlequah and Dwight Shepherd; and his sister Joyce Eastham and husband Thomas of Tahlequah. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with many wonderful friends.
