Josie Cooper

Josie A. Cooper, the daughter of Isom and Florence(Cowles) Raley, was born December 26, 1939, in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, and she departed this life on December 2, 2022, in her home at the age of 82 years.

Josie loved her church and singing the gospel. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family and congregation. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and being surrounded by children. Josie touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud Cooper, daughter Carmen Kester, her seven sisters, and three brothers.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Timmy Decker of Trion, Oklahoma, Hope Gritts and husband Jody of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Joey Cooper and wife Shonda of Overland Park, Kansas, Janine Faber and husband Chris of Parkhill, Oklahoma, Mitchell Cooper and wife Tamisa of Checotah, Oklahoma., Erica Cooper and companion Cole Hanson of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
