Joy Dean Blair (Granny) was born on August 18, 1946 in El Dorado, Kansas to Evelyne and Floyd Ray. Joy went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2021.
Joy had a heart like no other. She never knew a stranger and welcomed anyone into her life and into her home. Her quirky personality and dedication to work brought her to Hulbert, Ok where she opened up Joy’s Beauty Shop. She touched so many lives, one perm at a time, for over 30 years. Some of her patrons were just there for the complementary therapy session that came with each haircut. She eventually moved to Tahlequah with her husband Carl to live out retirement. Joy practiced real unconditional love of her family. Her arms were always open for family no matter what, but you better not get caught cheating her in a card game or you’re going to hear about it. She was a social butterfly and loved playing card games, puzzles, and dominos with her friends and family. Joy was a believer in Christ and loved the lord with all her heart.
Preceding her in death were her husband Carl Blair; mother Evelyne; father Floyd; sisters Marilyn, Erma, and Carolyn; brothers Charles, Virgil, Bobby, and Billy.
Joy is survived by her brother Tommy Ray and wife Joyce; daughter Aloma Bowlin and husband Lonnie; daughter Erica McGregor; grandchildren Andrew Bowlin, Cory Bowlin and wife Paige, and Haylea; great-grandchildren Brayden, Lilly, Iris, Isaac, and Baker Bowlin; great great-grandson Clay; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
