Laurence Earl Kortright, Jr. (Sonny) of Tahequah, Oklahoma passed away on April 9, 2022, at his home at the age of 56. Laurence was born on November 4, 1965, in Guthrie, Oklahoma the son of Laurence Kortright, Sr and Judy (Jentry) Heil.
Sonny was very resourceful and could do just about anything. He was an all-around good family man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was tagged as the "Jack of all trades" by everyone who knew him, simply because he would create a masterpiece out of anything, whether he was welding or painting. He loved to do custom paint jobs on vehicles and was really good at it when he owned his business Rockin K's Customs here in Tahlequah. He was working for Doc's Mobile Welding & Fabrication LLC in Muskogee at the time of his passing. He loved his animals, having a good time and making others smile. Sonny had a smile that was contagious and will never be forgotten. He will be missed by everyone he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his father; Laurence Earl Kortright, Sr.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his mother; Judy Heil and husband Larry, children; Summer Kortright, Koty Sanders and wife Chelsea Brown, and Steven Carter, grandchildren; Robert Dale Degase, Truman Kortright and Everlee Kortright, siblings; Lynda Faught and family, Robert Allon and family, Jim Cathey and family, as well as numerous family and great friends that he leaves behind.
