Leroy Trusen

Leroy Edward Trusen, 89, of Park Hill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Trusen was born May 3, 1936, in Pharr, Texas, to the late Arthur Edward Trusen and Dena Nell Klump Trusen. He received his education in Jenks, Oklahoma, before joining the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.

Mr. Trusen worked in the energy field at several fabrication shops around the Tulsa area for 20-25 years before retiring.

He participated in the Shriners for several years following his move to the Tahlequah/Keys, Oklahoma region. Additionally, he worked as a security guard in Tahlequah.

Leroy and Barbara enjoyed bowling, played on teams together, and traveled to several bowling tournaments.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Rush Trusen, whom he married on June 17, 1958. He also leaves behind a sister, Minnie Bradley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by three godchildren: Wanda Edwards, Mike Wolf, and Pam Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dena Trusen, two sisters, and one brother.

Graveside services with military honors will be Friday, July 18, 2025, 1:30 PM, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from noon to 4:00 PM, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
