Leslie Carol Minor, the daughter of Benny Audred and Glenna Marilyn (Albers) Leatherman, was born October 30, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas and departed this life on June 14, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 15 days.
Leslie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a huge heart, she loved helping people and never turned anyone down. She enjoyed going on medical mission trips with her husband, Dr. Danny Minor, and family. Mission work was very important to her to show the love of God throughout the world. She traveled all over the globe spreading the Good news to places such as Guatemala, Ukraine, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. Leslie was a devoted daily bible reader. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch work and gifting her creations to many households, coordinating the singing for shut-ins, and she even did a little painting over the years. Leslie was a devoted member of the South College church of Christ for over 36 years. Leslie began her college career at Abilene Christian and later graduated from Oklahoma Christian College class of 1972 where her children and grandchildren continue her legacy. Leslie was a kind-hearted gentle person whose heartfelt love touched many lives over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Danny Minor.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her children: Shawn Minor and wife Summer of Broken Arrow, OK, Christopher Minor and wife Jennifer of Edmond, OK, Kara Minor of Tahlequah, OK, and Mike Harlow and wife Sabrina of Sapulpa OK; her sisters Sheryl Chambers and husband Doug of Andover, KS and Leah Goering and husband Wayne of Pretty Prairie, KS; her brother Lowen Leatherman and wife Gini of Valley Center, KS; her sister-in-law Nancy Mason and husband Danny of Tahlequah, OK; and her grandchildren: Keaton Minor and wife Lydia, Tristan Minor, Kenzie Minor Stephens and husband Zach, Tyson Minor, Kamden Minor, Kallahan Minor, Teagan Minor, Kobey Minor, Krew Minor, Noah Harlow, and Audrey Harlow; nieces, nephews, countless friends and other relatives also survive her. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Doris Tharp for her loving devotion and care of both Mom and Dad.
Due to Covid-19 the family has decided to have a private graveside service. Thank you for your prayers and understanding. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of Leslie Minor to:
