Letha Cronin

Letha was born October 23, 1933 in Hulbert, OK, the daughter of William Everett Reed and Thelma Elizabeth (Sullivan) Reed. She married at the young age of 14 in 1947 to Junior Lee Cronin. They had a family of 4 children that they raised in Cotati, California. Later in life she moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The last 15 years she has lived at the Cherokee County Nursing Center where she made many friends who became family. She enjoyed crocheting hats for everyone. She also made hats for the new borns at the local hospital and also sent hats to St. Jude Children's Hospital. She enjoyed piecing quilts and quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

Letha departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Tahlequah, OK, at the age of 89 and 10 months. Preceding her in death were her parents, step father, husband, son James Cronin, sisters Mary Sue Reed and Doris Marie Price, brothers Hubert Reed, Johnny Ray Reed, Jimmy Lee Reed, and Troy Everett Manes.

She is survived by her son Charlie Cronin and wife Jolene, and daughters Carol Ware, and Betty Keyes, her sister Nora Hildreth, sister in law Bonnie Reed, niece Anna Hogue, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral Service will be 1 PM, Thursday, August 31,2023 at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, burial to follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Hart Funeral Home between 3PM to 5PM.
