Lillie Manes

Lillie Mae Manes the daughter of John Green and Gracie (Gunn) Daily was born June 20, 1935 in Braggs, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 20, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years and 7 months.

Lillie loved life and enjoyed her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a cook like no other and anyone who had ever eaten at her table could testify to that fact. She enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and she passed down several recipes. Quilting was another of her passions, she hand quilted quilts for each of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many others, never keeping one for herself. She loved her family and family gatherings were her favorite times. She loved going to church and she loved the Lord. Lillie was a prayer warrior and she loved her church and church family. Lillie touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Troy Manes; her daughter Brenda Carpenter; her son Jack Manes; her brother Jack Daily; her sister Marie Beck and her granddaughter LeAnn Carpenter.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Shirley Finley and husband Jim of Claremore, Pat Molloy and husband Steve of Tahlequah, Carolyn Kidwell and husband Joe of Tulsa and Bill Manes and wife Mitzie of Tahlequah; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
