Linda Cates

Linda Darlene Cates, born to the late Emmitt L. and Lucy Pettit, on 1/22/1946, passed away on 12/18/2023.

Linda was born in Nowata, OK., and grew up in Tulsa, OK. She met and was married to Roy Cates for 48 years. She was a dedicated spouse and was right by Roy's side as they tackled projects together, traveled, and spent time with family. They had one daughter, Wendy.

Linda was an avid gardener who had beautiful flowers at every house she lived. She was also an amazing cook who could cook anything she was asked to. She was a gifted cake decorator and worked at Ann's Bakery in Tulsa for many years.

She was proceeded in death by husband, Roy; parents Emmitt and Lucy Pettit; brothers Daryl and Kenny.

Linda is survived by daughter, Wendy (Cates) Waddell; grandchildren Gregory, Justin, Madison, and Samantha Waddell; and several great grandchildren; Anna Pettit, wife of brother Kenny Pettit.
