Lois M. Ross the daughter of Allen and Alneda (Creighton) Jones was born November 14, 1925 in Windfield, Louisiana and departed this life on January 5, 2016 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 22 days.
Lois served her country proudly in the United States Army. Lois married Donald Ross on December 29, 1952 and they celebrated 63 years of life together. After moving to Tahlequah, she was very active in the community. She was a member of the Democrat Women of Cherokee County and was often a Delegate for the State Convention. She enjoyed the Political Campaigns and was always involved with them. Lois was well known for her flower garden. She took great pride in her yard work and gardening. Lois enjoyed traveling to see her family. Lois touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son William Ross; two sisters; three brothers and one grandson.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Donald Ross of the home; her children Yolette Ross of New Jersey, Richard Ross and wife Brittany of Florida, James Ross and wife Alyce of Florida, Rose Flippen of North Carolina, Leon Ross of Florida, Anthony Ross of Florida and Ada Ross-Cook and husband Wallace of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
