Margaret Haworth

December 17, 1930 — July 27, 2021

Margaret Alice Haworth was born December 17, 1930, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 27, 2021, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mabel (Black) Mears; her husband of 53 years Frank Earnest Haworth; her sisters Billie McLaughlin and Ruth Box; her brother Pete Howard; and most recently her only grandson, Brett Michael Campbell.

Margaret and her husband raised their three children in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In 1984 they retired to the family farm and their hometown, Tahlequah. Margaret adored her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren dearly. She and "Grandad" took them on many vacations and they never missed a sporting event, a dance recital, or a 4-H event. Margaret enjoyed watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke. She was also an avid seamstress, making many uniforms, costumes and bridesmaid dresses. She designed and made her youngest daughters wedding dress. She was always willing to chaperone her children's activities and throughout the years she did so many times. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah. Though she wasn't a singer, she enjoyed singing and could be heard humming all day long. Margaret loved the Lord and wanted to share His love with everyone she met. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Shirley Campbell and husband Michael of Coweta, Sharon Miller and husband Tom of Broken Arrow and Ed Haworth and wife De Shonne of Tahlequah; her grandchildren Tosha Lundy and husband David of Broken Arrow, Hannah Haworth of Tahlequah, Bracie Haworth of Tahlequah and Melissa Grunewald and husband Michael of Tulsa; and her great-grandchildren Owen Michael Lundy and Madeline Kay Grunewald. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
