Marion Marie Vance, 76, a cherished resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love for life following her passing on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Born on December 29, 1948, to the late Jess Taylor and Ida (Tehee) Taylor in Tahlequah, Marion's life was a testament to resilience and devotion.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11:30 AM on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Robert Lee Vance. The family will welcome friends and loved ones at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of the service, providing an opportunity to share memories and celebrate Marion's life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her brother Bobby Cleo Tehee, and her beloved infant daughter Roberta Vance. Marion is survived by her son Robert (Curley) Vance II, as well as Steven (Tracie) Vance and David Taylor "Big D." Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Stephen, Tyler, Shawn, McKenna, Sierrah, Mason, Jayce, Jackson, Brandon, Ashley, Courtney, and Trae-and eight great-grandchildren, along with a multitude of loving family members and friends.
Marion's passions included playing Old School Bingo, visiting the casino, and proudly participating in the Elks Lodge. She cherished the simple joys of life, from planting flowers to cooking delicious meals, always surrounded by her family, particularly during her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. As we gather to remember Marion, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.
