Mark Lawhead

Mark Gentry Lawhead the son of John Gentry "Sonny" Lawhead and Judy Mankiller was born June 2, 1970 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 19, 2019 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Mark was raised in Tahlequah on Stickross Mountain playing at his great grandmother Nancy Lawhead's home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building pole barns and working on vehicles with his father.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents John Gentry "Sonny" Lawhead and Judy Mankiller; and one brother John Lawhead Jr.

Mark is survived by a loving family which includes his stepmother Molly Lawhead; his aunt Leona Martin; his brothers Jonathan Lawhead and wife Cleathel, Mustomuah Cooley and wife Ginger and Canaan Deeringwater; and his sisters Alicia Welch and Chauncina Blackfox and husband Kenneth. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive him.
