Marla Jones

Marla Bernice Jones, the daughter of Ira and Bernice (Shrum) Toney was born May 19, 1967 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and joined our Heavenly Father on November 3, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 15 days.

Marla enjoyed life and loved her family. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, and wife. She had a way about her that made you feel like the most significant person in the room. She was supportive, encouraging, and kind. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved her husband, children and adored her grandbabies. She was a true example of motherhood and loved taking care of her family. Marla enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing games, especially Bingo and Sorry. She was a great fisherman as long as there were no trees around. She loved playing the piano and watching Wheel of Fortune. She had a heart of gold and looked forward to competing in the Special Olympic Games with her daughter, Christa every year. Marla was passionate about helping people, and was able to do so even after she left this life. Marla was able to use her life to give life to others as she was an organ donor. Marla has touched so many lives, in life and in death, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 23 years, Stanley Russell Jones; her children Angellita Sierra and husband Michael of Tahlequah, Tasha Atcity and future son-in-law Nathan Hollis of Tulsa, Christa Atcity of Tahlequah and Cara Jones and future son-in-law Jacob Russell of Tahlequah; her brother Ray Toney and wife Janice of Louisiana and her grandchildren Roland Sierra, Penelope Sierra and Lenora Russell. Many friends and other relatives also survive her.

There will be a dinner following the burial at 105 Sequoyah St. Tahlequah, OK 74464. All are welcome to come and fellowship.
