Martha Bias

Martha D. Bias the daughter of Virgil Owen and Ruthie Mae (Goff) Norwood was born December 22, 1932 in Hulbert, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 19, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 3 days.
Martha married George D. Bias on June 5, 1955. Together they had two children, Janice Melodie and Rita Ardeth. Martha loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending precious time with them. She enjoyed meeting once a month for family singing and family gatherings. She also loved playing the guitar, mandolin and loved to sing. She was a song writer who has written over 200 songs. Martha touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Owen and Ruthie Mae (Goff) Norwood, her husband George D. Bias and a sister Lillian Kirkland.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Jan Stephens and husband Bill of Park Hill, Ok and Rita Bias of Stilwell, OK; her sisters Wanda Switzer of Tahlequah, OK, Delphia (Debbie) Tanner and husband Terry of Pryor, OK; her brother Virgil Owen Norwood Jr. and wife Shirley of Tahlequah, OK; and 4 grandchildren, Syndee Collins and husband Mike of Tahlequah, OK, David Stephens of Tahlequah, OK, Michael McClure and wife Gayla of Bixby, OK and Ashley Stephens and wife Cassy of Tahlequah, OK; and 6 great -grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
