Mary Hazel Blakemore the daughter of Jacob and Emma (Brunner) Heinz was born September 21, 1922 in Medford, Wisconsin and departed this life on July 2, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 11 days.
Mary enjoyed life and she loved her family. She had a special love for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a very classy lady but not afraid of hard work. Her first job was at the Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery in Milwaukee. She later moved to California and was working as a waitress when she met Richard Glen Blakemore. They were married and were blessed with 2 children before moving to Stilwell, OK in 1949. They were later blessed with 2 additional children and the purchase of their farm in Tahlequah, OK. Mary worked very hard beside her husband on the family farm. She worked as a nurses aide and retired from Tahlequah City Hospital and later worked 13 years as a door greeter at Wal-Mart and retired at 89. She enjoyed playing cards, dice and really enjoyed going to the casino. Mary also loved to bake, especially for Feed My Sheep. Mary touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the children's father; her son Joseph Glen Blakemore; her daughter Joy Marie Wiseley; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Mary Ann Woodard and husband Roy of Richland, MO, and Patty Callaway of Tahlequah, OK; 8 grandchildren Ronda Trower, Dee Ann Gumbleton, Joanie Mitchell, Tammie Harris, Lea Ann Gordon, Kelly Joe Callaway, Robby Wiseley and Brett Wiseley; 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
