Mary Parks

Mary "Dixie" was born April 21, 1930 in Ramona, OK the daughter of Alton Ben and Lillian G. (Stevenson) Girdner. She was married to Kenneth L. Parks for over 65 years. She and Kenneth owned and operated Caney Ridge Grocery for many years. Her life revolved around her family.
She loved nature, especially the smell of freshly cut grass and enjoyed traveling. Mary was an adventurious person pushing the limits of life. She always said "Death would have to catch me", and that is the way she left this earth.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth of the home; three children, Gail Parks-Wyers of Muskogee, Sally Roberts and husband Garry of Tahlequah and Bryan (Tuffy) Girdner and wife Brandy of Stilwell; two sisters, Alene Dial of Caney Ridge and Joyce McKee of Childress, TX; seven grandchildren Josh, Garry Loyd, Priscilla, Kay Lynn, Matthew, Caden & Jernie; and five great-grandchildren Racey, Rider, Sara Kay, Traye Lynn and Annie Dee; and many nephews, nieces, friends and other relatives.

Mary "Dixie" was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Angela Gwen "Precious Angie" Charlton, a son-in-law Harold Wyers, her brothers Bill Girdner, Ben Girdner, Frank Girdner, Bryan Girdner; and one sister Sue Knight.
