Mary Jane Young-Pilcher the daughter of Turn and Jennie (Keener) Hayes was born March 25, 1936 in Lost City, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 12, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 4 months 18 days.
Mary was a loving woman who worked hard and tried to give back to her community in every way that she could. She worked for Safeway and Homeland stores for over 30 years. She served on the Hulbert City Council from 1983-1989 and former Mayor of Hulbert. She was a Judge on the Precinct Election Board and she was also a member of the Elk's Lodge. She worked for Tahlequah Finance company and she co-owned and operated M&M Boutique in Tahlequah. Mary loved to travel, and she enjoyed going on cruises. Mary touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Dan Hayes and Lou Hayes and her sister Louella Kuehne.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Keith Pilcher of the home; her daughter Delisca Jane Cole of Wagoner; her sons Bobby Young and wife Susie of Lost City and David Young of Tahlequah; her stepson Jeff Pilcher of Florida; her sisters Vi Girdner of Hulbert, Sue Switzer and husband Keith of Tahlequah and Debbie Jackson and husband Jeff of Wagoner; a very special friend Emma Jordan; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
