Michael Garrett

Michael Leroy Garrett the son of George Albert and Bonnie Jean (Tudor) Garrett, was born September 19, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, and departed this life on September 16, 2022, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 28 days.


Michael loved life and adored his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was fishing or being on the river. He loved spending time with friends. Michael was known for his compassionate heart and touched many lives over the years. He enjoyed serving his community as a T-ball coach, Cub Scouts Den Leader and a manager at Midwestern Nurseries for over 30 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers George Dee Garrett and Rodney Eugene Garrett and Terry Randall Garrett; and his sister Cassandra Jean Goodwin; along with his close friend Larry Haddock.


He is survived by a loving family which includes his sons Chris Garrett and wife Andrea of Tahlequah and Brandon Garrett and wife Stacy of Stillwater; and his grandchildren Aubrey and Elliot. Close friends Jerry and Pam Halfacre, several nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives also survive him.
