Michael departed this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Junior Pickup and Ina Lou Pickup of Rocky Ford, OK, brother Mark Edwin Pickup of Rocky Ford, OK, and by his grandparents, Guy Abraham Pickup and Marie Pickup of Tulsa, OK, Lena Barnett Stover of Rocky Ford, and Virgil Barnett of Leach, OK.

Surviors include his sons Michael Nathaniel Pickup of Norman, OK, and Eric Von Pickup of Tahlequah, OK; three sisters Tammy Diane Smith and Kirt Smith of Tahlequah, OK, Tressa Delena Pratt and George Pratt of Brandon, FL, and Tonya Denice and Byron Carter of Rocky Ford, OK; five grandchildren Laci Lynette Pickup, Alisa Brooke Pickup, David Anthony Chavez, and Adrian Von Pickup of Tahlequah, OK, and Gaius Xzavier Pickup of Norman, OK; ex-wife Alexandria Brooks Pickup; and life partner Michael Scott Cole of Locust Grove, OK. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
