Mikael "Miki" Ann Alred, age 75 of Stillwater, Oklahoma, formerly of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Visitation hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Cremation will follow under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home.
Mikael Ann Alred was born March 18, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mark L. and Waunita (Sells) Burger. When she was two, the family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. She graduated from the Ponca High School in 1964. Mikael then attended and graduated from Northern Oklahoma College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
On May 26, 1966, Mikael married Gary Alred in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Foraker, Oklahoma. Mikael worked at Conoco in Ponca City, then moving to Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Mikael worked for the Kane, Kane, Mattingly Law Firm, District Attorney Office and for Judge Dobbins. She retired on March 31, 2017. Mikael loved to fish, horses, painting, and sewing.
Survivors include her husband Gary, of the home; two sons, Jay Alred and wife Brenda, of Vian, Oklahoma, and Jim Alred and wife Rebecca, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; adopted family Eric, Sonya, Madison, and Ethan Chuculate; three siblings: Jami Anderson and husband, Don, of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Thomson and wife Sabrina, of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Sue Thomson of Owasso, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Sarah Alred, Abigail (Luke) Werth, Karrissa Alred, Brianna Alred, Madeline Alred, Katherine Alred and Tyler (Skyler) Alred; three great grandchildren, October Alred and Brooks Alred, Levi Werth, due in April.
The Family has kindly suggested any memorials be given to the Karman Legacy Hospice and designated contributions may be left at the Hart Funeral Home.
