Nancy Vaughan

Nancy Sue Vaughan the daughter of Dewey and Lena (Bush) Rutherford was born December 30, 1932 in Peggs, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 15, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 16 days.

Nancy enjoyed life and she loved people. She was anxious to get started in the world and began a career as a secretary soon after high school. She worked for an insurance broker in Tulsa, later she worked for Texas Instruments for a short time before moving back and working for Kern Insurance. Nancy was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed crossword puzzles. Nancy was one of a kind and left an impression on many hearts who crossed her path. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Susan Vaughan; her sisters Emma Lou Middleton and Marguerite Kern and her brother Dewey H. (Duke) Rutherford.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Jefferson Vaughan of the home. A plethora of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
