Nelda Sue Wolfe Littlejohn was born in Tahlequah OK to the late Daisy Wolfe and Ruth Johnson on January 21, 1941. Nelda passed March 14, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James "Dubby" Wolfe and William "Bill" Wolfe and sister Dixie Wolfe Cornsilk.
Survivors include sons, Bobby Micthell McBride and Daniel Lee McBride, grandchildren Amanda BeSore and husband Kort, Kelli Victor, and Emmett Victor, great grandchildren Grace BeSore and Kyle BeSore, sisters Rebecca Wolfe and Vicky Garber along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Nelda was known for her love of education and music. She was a veteran of the Army and very proud of her military career. Nelda received many awards and accolades for her volunteer work with the veteran community. She achieved a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (thanks to the GI bill), a Masters of Language Arts, and a Masters of Education.
Nelda worked as a nurse for many years. She left nursing to become an instructor of nursing. She loved her students and enjoyed when they were later assigned to care for her. She was very well known and respected in the nursing community.
Upon meeting Nelda, it was quite obvious that she possessed a love of music. Her influence was strongly felt among many of her family members as she enjoyed introducing music to the younger generations.
Nelda is loved by many and is sorely missed.
