Nita Ousley

Nita Jean Ousley, 77, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 20, 1947, in Sayre, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Donell Lowrance and Juanita (Cornelius) Lowrance, who preceded her in death.

Nita is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Roy Ousley, and their loving children: Lacinda (Wade) Albright, Connie Ousley, Christal (Michael) Bensch, Lisa (Forrest) Humphrey, and Lynn (Michael) Collins. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and cherished deeply.

A woman of profound compassion and warmth, Nita found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family. She had a love for fishing and camping, activities that brought smiles to her grandchildren's faces and created memories that will last a lifetime. Nita's kindness extended beyond her family, as she dedicated many years working in the kitchen at Falls Creek Campground, nourishing countless campers with her delicious meals.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Nita Jean Ousley not just for the loss we feel, but for the love she gave, the joy she shared, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts.
