Norman Emerson

March 30, 1936 — June 15, 2022

Norman Lee Emerson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed on June 15, 2022, at the age of 86 doing what he loved most which was farming and building houses. He was born on March 30, 1936, the son of Henry Emerson and Laura (Emerson) Honeycutt in Marble City, OK. He moved to Tahlequah in 1970 and has lived there ever since.

Norman was a hard worker and could do just about anything he put his mind to. He was currently living with his stepson on his farm and loved help working cattle and helping build houses and storage units. Norman was a useful hand and always put his heart into everything he did. He was good at mechanics and could also weld. When he wasn't working, you could find him at the casino visiting and listening to the music. Though he never gambled, he loved to be around the people having a laugh and chatting about anything and everything. He will be missed by everyone he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry and Laura, his wife; Jerry (Waddle) Wyers- Emerson, children; Bobby Emerson and Norma Jane Emerson.

He is survived by a loving family, which includes his children; BJ Emerson, Ann Shelly, Bob Waddle and Janet (Waddle) Ingram and Jimmy Emerson, sisters; Bernice Gurule and Mereye (Emerson) Strickland. Numerous family, friends and coworkers he leaves behind.

There will be a Celebration of life after the burial on June 22, 2022, at Waddle Ranch. The Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery on June 22, 2022, at 10 AM.
