Patricia Ann ThompsonFabry was born November 3, 1931 and died on October 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Opal E. Walker and Robert Lloyd Murrell, and husband of 50 years, Louis H. Thompson. Pat was born in Hollis, Oklahoma and attended elementary school through high school in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Classen High School and attended the University of Oklahoma, where she met Louis.
Pat was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae of Psi Chapter and served many years in the Oklahoma City Panhellenic organization.
Pat and Louis served as adult volunteers and leaders in the Boy Scouts of America and both earned the Woodbadge Leadership Development Award. Pat was among the first women Scouters to earn the Silver Beaver Service Award.
Pat and Louis raised their family in Oklahoma City and at Lake Tenkiller they started camping and boating in the early 1960s. Countless church, friends and family members were taught to water ski at the Lake. When they were tired of camping, Lou and Pat bought property on Standing Rock near Cookson.
Pat retired from Halliburton Services in Oklahoma City after 15 years of service in 1992. Pat became involved in TACO, the Tenkiller Area Community Organization, where she served since 1995 in several leadership positions. Pat organized two blood drives every year from 1994 to 2013.
Pat married Eugene Fabry in 2004 and continued her service at Cookson United Methodist Church. She held several leadership positions with UMW and Tenkiller Womens Club. She also volunteered with the Thompson House and Murrell Home in Tahlequah.
Pat is survived by her husband Eugene Fabry her son Robert B. Thompson her daughter Louann Thompson Schulze and soninlaw Frederick A. Schulze and her granddaughter Camille Schulze Talbert and husband Tyler B. Talbert. She is also survived by her sisterinlaw Margaret B. Thompson and seven nieces.
