Patti Gail Gladd Cookson the daughter of Joe B. Tang and Fannie Pauline (Lowery). Patti was born January 8, 1939 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on June 12, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of
76.
Patti worked as a bookkeeper for many years, but her passion was thoroughbred race horses. She was the proud owner of many winning race horses. She was very passionate about her horses, but she was also passionate about her home and always made sure it was kept neat and clean and that everyone was well taken care of. She also loved her family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She enjoyed life and all that she had accomplished. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Mary Lou Dobson and Betty Jo Minor; and her brothers Frank E. Gladd, Paul B. Gladd, and Wirt Bud Gladd.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Jim Cookson of the home; her sons Reece Cookson and wife MeLinda of Tahlequah and Ronnie Cookson and wife Jane Ziegler of Tulsa; her sisters Lois Gene Sis Dunlap of Augusta, GA, Gladys Little McNeil of Cameron, MO, and Sarah Baker of Tahlequah; her brother Jerry Gladd of Ft. Gibson; her grandchildren Amanda, Sarah, Brooklynn, Hannah, Foster, Logan and Mackenzie; and her great grandchildren Natalie and Canyon. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
