Pauline Jennings

Pauline Velma Jennings the daughter of George and Lottie Mae (Davis) Hicks was born June 10, 1931 in Moody, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 27, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Pauline enjoyed life and she loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, camping and her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved her life on the farm being surrounded by her family, especially her grandkids. She loved getting the family together and enjoying meals, reunions and just spending time with one another. She especially enjoyed attending the yearly Moody Reunion. She was a member of the Moody Church of Christ for many years. She was a life-long resident of Tulsa County and Cherokee County. She attended school at Moody Elementary and graduated from Tahlequah Central High School. Pauline was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She enjoyed the simplicity of life and material things were not important. Her heart was big and she would give her last dollar to a stranger if she thought it would help. Pauline touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Al Jennings; her daughter Elaine Hamilton; her granddaughter Erica Rae Ford; and her siblings Lorene Hendrickson, Herman Hicks and Buddy Hicks.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Brenda Cline-Hizen and husband Pete of Grove, Paula Gilmore and husband Gary of Rocky Ford and Leroy Coursey Jr. and wife Colette of Tulsa; her sisters Alma Glenn, Maxine Swyden and Ann Dorr; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
