Penni Green

June 18, 1957 — July 18, 2017

Penni Lyn Green, the daughter of J.T. and Patricia Janelle (Hunt) Sego, was born June 18, 1957 in Haskell, Texas and departed this life on July 18, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 60 years and 1 month.

Penni lived a huge life and enjoyed every minute of it. She was especially proud of her son, Burdge, and grandkids, Bo and Mabel Kate. She graduated from Tahlequah Public Schools, attended Northeastern State University and received a Bachelor's degree from University of Central Oklahoma. She was an accomplished accountant working for the Oklahoma State Auditor's Office, CFO for Home Health Companies and several different accounting firms in the Oklahoma City area, where she lived most of her life. For nine years Penni lived in Minneapolis, MN where she was the director of the savings department of the largest bank in town and a part-time photographer. Penni grew up with an enormous love of animals. She had cats and dogs that were constant companions throughout her entire life. She loved the summertime and enjoyed being out on the water skiing, canoeing or soaking up the sunshine. She enjoyed photography, art and music. She attended numerous art festivals, plays, and concerts. Humor was her way of life, though she may have been a little dry and sarcastic. She was very opinionated and stubborn, but if you knew Penni you loved her. She was a great story-teller and had many lively, eventful stories to share. She was an adventurer and could get around anywhere, in any country, on her own. Penni loved her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and each birthday they would receive a special birthday present from her. She was an accomplished conversationalist who never met a stranger. Everyone truly loved Penni. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Janelle (Hunt) Sego.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her son Dr. Burdge Green IV and wife Lisa and her grandchildren Bo and Mabel Kate Green of Fayetteville, AR; her father J.T. Sego II and his wife Christy of Tahlequah; her brother Jim T. Sego III of Tahlequah; her sisters Patti Gulager and husband G.V. of Tahlequah, Paula Page and husband Marvin of Tahlequah and Pamela Sumner and husband Larry of Tahlequah; her nieces and nephews Christi and Kyle Braudrick, Vance Gulager, Stewart and Lindsey Gulager, Jamie Sego, Michael and Annie Page, Aidan Sumner and Aubrey Sumner; and her great nieces and nephews Jayci Braudrick, Zane Braudrick, Caden Gulager, Colson Gulager, Charly Kay Gulager, Emma Sego, Ava Sego, Landon Sego, Kingston Sego, Lila Sego, Bryson Page, Natalee Page, and Blake Page; and special friends Connie Dunavin, Mitzi Reasor, and Laurie Jaster.
