Phillip Nofire the son of Bud and Mary (Holmes) Nofire was born January 7, 1963 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 16, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 1 month and 9 days.
Phillip enjoyed life outdoors. He was a horseman. He rode his first horse at the age of 2, and he has spent his life riding, breaking, and breeding horses. He enjoyed country living, raising chickens, dogs, and going coon hunting. Phillip was a hard worker whether at home or on the job. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for over 30 years. He loved his family. Phillip touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father Bud Nofire; his son Phillip Nofire Jr.; his mother-in-law Sue Turner; his sister-in-law Tammy Ritchie and brothers-in-law Ray Andrews and David "Pete" Turner.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Carla Nofire of the home; his mother Mary Nofire of Welling; his father-in-law Carl Turner; his step children Salisa Gaches and husband Buddy of Welling and Andy Rider and wife Jennifer of Welling; 5 grandchildren Chance, Hannah, Kobe, Jakob and Kynlee; his sisters Margaret Nofire and husband Jeff, Joy Nofire, Sue Ware and husband Jim, Donna Andrews, Peggy Girty and husband George, and Brenda Willey and husband Daniel; ; 5 nephews David Nofire, Michael Nofire, Greg Girty, Brent Girty, and Matthew Willey; 1 niece Sarah Willey; great nieces Ashley Girty and Paige Girty and great nephews Gage, Landen, Kelby, and Jake Girty. One aunt, two uncles, many friends and other relatives also survive him.
