Phyllis Reagan

August 1, 1925 — September 30, 2022

Phyllis J. (Slocter) Reagan, 97, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on September 30, 2022 at Freeman West Medical Center in Joplin, MO. Phyllis was born on August 1, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Alta (Seely) Slocter.

Phyllis was one of the sweetest people you could've met. She had a heart of gold and would have done anything for anyone. She married Mike Reagan and together they were blessed with their one and only child, their daughter, Rebecca. Phyllis was very active in church and her faith with Jesus was very important to her. She worked as the Financial Secretary for the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah for many years before becoming a homemaker. Phyllis and Mike both loved to travel and go on vacation. They made many memories before his passing. Anyone who knew Phyllis, knew she loved her animals dearly and there was no animal that went without food or water. She always had a cat to care for and they were always her babies. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and baker. She made the best chocolate pie. When she wanted to relax, she enjoyed watching British comedies and reading, watching the birds, flowers and squirrels outside. Most importantly, being around her family meant the world to her. She was an easy to get a long with person and made everyone feel comfortable. She will be missed by everyone she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death,by her parents, Albert and Alta; her husband, Mike Reagan; and a granddaughter, Maria Mitchell.

She is survived by a loving family, which includes her daughter, Rebecca and husband Terrell; granddaughter, Emily Ediger and husband Chris, and Michael Mitchell and wife Dustin; 5 great grandchildren, Declan Ediger, Parker Ediger, Tinley Ediger, Lyla Ediger and AJ Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cherokee County Oklahoma Humane society.
