Ples Green Sanders the son of Freddie Lee and Dovie Marie (Bledsaw) Sanders was born October 25, 1946, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 21, 2020, in Skiatook, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years and 10 months.
Ples loved his family and he loved the Lord. He was a giver and a helper. Helping people is what he thrived at. He was a people person and loved to talk. He loved telling stories and everyone loved to listen. He loved reading the Bible, and he stood strong in his beliefs. He and Mary Ellen were baptised on Easter Sunday 1970 into the General Assembly and church of the Firstborn. He liked for his place to be manicured, he worked hard at it, he enjoyed gardening, going fishing and coon hunting. He loved bragging on his grandkids, and he also enjoyed a good wrestling match and would often put the grandkids up to sparring against each other. There was never a dull moment around Ples, he liked to entertain. Ples made an impression on many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Elizabeth Clark; his brothers Tommy Lee Sanders and Earl Wesley Sanders; and his sisters Evelyn Robinson and Bessie Gordon.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Mary Ellen Sanders of the home; his children Zinda Burdick of Bartlesville, Kenneth Sanders and wife Heather of Ramona, Dovie Sanders of Owasso, Ples Sanders of South Coffeyville, Laura Seaton of Skiatook, Stephanie Grist and husband Brett of Henryetta and Jack Sanders and wife Katie of Owasso; his sisters Ethel Chisolm of Tahlequah, and Ruby Conner and husband Donnie of Agra; his brothers Roger Sanders and wife Imogene of Tulsa and Quilla Sanders and wife Brenda of Owasso; his coonhunting buddies Dan Charles and Allen J.
