Ralph Childs

Ralph Leroy Childs the son of Ralph Homer and Dorothy (Jones) Childs was born September 29, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 15, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Ralph loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, bird hunting and fishing. He was proud of being in the Army and referred to it as His Army, he served 22 years active duty and completed 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Masons and a substitute teacher for Vian Schools for many years. He was also a part of the "McDonalds crew" who met every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for breakfast, he and his buddies referred to it as their office. Ralph touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of 58 years Carolyn Childs of the home; Son Brian Childs and wife Karen of Cookson, OK; Grandchildren Alyssa Childs of Cookson, OK, Gwendolyn Childs of Cookson, OK and Victor Childs of Cookson, OK; sisters Marie McElhaney and husband Silas of Vian, OK, Freda Graalfs of Princeton, TX and brother Jack Childs of Seminole, OK. Several friends and other relatives also survive him.
