Ray Bond the son of William and Arlie (Lathem) Bond was born March 25, 1928 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and departed this life on November 27, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Ray enjoyed life and believed in working hard. He graduated from NSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and he taught for nearly 30 years. After he retired from teaching he began a career as a truck driver. His most cherished days were those driving up and down the roads in his semi truck with Patricia by his side. He took her with him the majority of the time, and he drove that truck until his retirement in 2013 at the age of 85. After his retirement, he enjoyed taking care of the place. They bought his and her mowers and they each had a portion of the yard to mow. He continued to work for Karen at the store running deposits and doing anything that needed done. Ray always had a smile and tried to be good to everyone. He touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia Bond; his son Michael Ray Bond and his grandson Butch Oosahwe.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his daughter Karen O'Bryant and husband G.W. of Inola; and several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
