Ray Patrick

November 22, 1949 — February 21, 2026

Curtis Ray Patrick was born on November 22, 1949, to Curtis and Naomi Patrick in Hazard , Kentucky. During his childhood, his family moved to Ohio, and in 1967 they relocated to Florida. Ray loved playing baseball and earned a reputation as a powerful hitter. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, often serenading family and friends. His favorite place to be was in the sun, sand, and ocean.

In 1977, Ray attended a meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses with a friend. Shortly thereafter, he dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized in 1978. In September of that same year, he met Cindy Lou Salley at an assembly, and they were united in marriage on June 2, 1979.

Ray cherished his faith and spoke about it with sincerity and joy at every opportunity. For many years, he faithfully served in various ways in his congregation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. His guidance, encouragement, humor, and steady presence left a lasting impression on countless lives. Beyond his spiritual family, Ray & Cindy together served their community faithfully with a business they started together in 1983, Sparkle Cleaning Services. His work ethic and integrity earned him the respect of many.

Above all else, Ray lived for his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving grandfather, and a delighted great-grandfather. He found immense joy in the accomplishments and happiness of those he loved. His laughter was contagious, his stories memorable, and his optimism unwavering. Even through years of significant health challenges, Ray faced each day with courage, faith, and a positive spirit that inspired everyone around him.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Naomi Patrick, and his siblings Danais Patrick, Dennis Patrick, Dana James Patrick, Viola Yvonne Banta, and Delores Ann Benton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cindy Patrick; his sister Sharon K. Beckner; his three children, Curtis Ray Patrick III, Summer Joy Gerbitz (Clint Gerbitz), and Jonathan Joel Patrick; his grandchildren, Brandon Slaven, Brayden Gerbitz (Kelsy Gerbitz), and Blayd Gerbitz; and his great-grandchildren, David Slaven, Bruen Gerbitz, and Baylor Gerbitz

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and kindness shown during this time. Ray's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, devotion, and enduring love, and he will be deeply missed until the joyful reunion, soon to come.
