Keith Switzer

Keith Switzer, 76, a resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, died at home and went to be with his Savior on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born to Dwaine and Wanda Switer on August 17, 1950 in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Hart Funeral Home Chapel.

Keith was of the Baptist faith and attended Freewill Baptist Worship Center in Tahlequah. He was dedicated to serving as Treasurer of the church.

He graduated from Hulbert Public School and received apprenticeship training in carpentry in Tulsa. He worked construction in Tulsa for the Carpenters Union and traveled for jobs on hospitals and high rises for years. He later began dairy and poultry farming as well as raising crops in Washburn, MO.

Keith loved watching Nascar racing and spending time woodworking or building custom cabinets in his shop.

While attending Hulbert High School, Keith became good friends with Cynthia "Sue" Hayes. Twenty eight years later, they reconnected and married. They enjoyed thirty years of marriage together.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ellis Switzer.

Keith is survived by his wife, Sue, and his children, son, Scott and wife, Tammie and granddaughter Kaylee Switzer, daughter, Brandy and sons, Chad Switzer and Josh Switzer, stepdaughter, Bobbie Jones and husband Joe Walsh, stepsons, Chad Botts and Tim Botts, grandchildren, Chelsea Jones, Alyssa Cobb, Ryan Jones, Austin Jones, Gracie Botts, Cody Botts, Hailey Botts, and Briar Botts, two great-grandchildren, Paiyzela Jones and Lyle Hayes Jones.

He will also be missed by siblings, Murna and Harley Disheroon, Dale and Linda Switzer, Dwana and Ron Hays, Helen and Harlan Largent and several nephews and nieces.
