Rita Harris

Rita Mae Harris the daughter of John Elmer and Etta Bell (Hensley) Johnson was born November 9, 1927 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 8, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years and 10 months.

Rita loved her family and she loved the Lord. She enjoyed going to church and serving in anyway that she could. Her family was very important in her life and she was very proud of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to craft shows and music shows. Rita touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry Harris; her sons Larry Clinton and Dale Clinton; her brothers Edgar Johnson and Eugene Johnson and her sisters Thelma Steeley and Ella Bruce.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her sons Gary Clinton and wife Phyllis of Hulbert and Mike Clinton and wife Anita of Hulbert; her daughters-in-law Debbie Sumerall of Broken Arrow and Joanne Clinton of Hulbert; her brother John E. Johnson Jr. of Tahlequah; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
